Gillette Chamber Singers Fall Choral Festival Audition Instructions
Please read carefully.
Students need to submit an audition file with scales and arpeggios and an excerpt of “The World Beloved: a Bluegrass Mass”. Download these files for reference.
Students should record their audition using the ACC file label “GCS Audition Accompaniment” and the part for which you are auditioning. The audition file will play the piano accompaniment and all of the parts, except for the part you are auditioning. Make sure both the audition accompaniment and auditioning singer can be heard in the recording.
If you do not have the technology needed to play the ACC files while recording the audition, then the student may be accompanied by playing the written piano part in the score. Do not play or accentuate the notes of the part of the student auditioning, as this will disqualify them.
In addition to the audition accompaniment, there are ACC practice files posted for each vocal part (Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass). Students should use these files to prepare for the audition These files may not be used during the audition.
Audition deadline: Friday, September 8, 2023.
31st Annual Christmas Dinners
The Christmas Dinners have ushered in the holiday season for the community since 1992. During the early years the dinners were held in private homes and catered by the Prime Rib Restaurant, whose staff somehow managed to serve a five-course meal from a residential kitchen and garage. Spouses, friends and the singers helped clean, serve and decorate the homes. The dinners moved to the Prime Rib in 2014, where diners enjoy a multi-course meal with Christmas music performed all around them by the entire ensemble and soloists and small groups.
Tickets go on sale in mid-October.
Call 307-680-6205 or email gillettechambersingers.gmail.com and provide contact information for a return call. Guests must select their dinner entree and make seating requests at the time tickets are purchased.

There is no admission to attend, and a free will offering is donated to a local nonprofit organization.
