The Gillette Chamber Singers gives singers an opportunity to audition twice a year (typically January and August). Auditions consist of a prepared piece, vocalises, range and timbre exploration, and pitch matching and recall.

The group consists of 30-40 members, with ensemble size based on balance for each voice part at the discretion of the Director. GCS performs two formal concerts annually, plus the Christmas Dinners and a Service of Lessons and Carols. Additional community performances may be added, especially during the holiday season.

The GCS year begins in September with a Fall and Spring season. Membership requires a minimum commitment of one season, with rehearsals on Sunday evenings from 4-6:30 pm. Singers are responsible for the cost of their concert attire, with information provided upon acceptance. Annual membership dues of $100 go toward purchasing music, salaries for the director, assistant director and accompanist, and honorariums for guest artists.
