The Gillette Chamber Singers

The Gillette Chamber Singers (GCS) is the premier choral ensemble in northeast Wyoming, performing a wide variety of vocal music, ranging from Early Music to contemporary composers.

Founded in 1986, GCS is an auditioned community choir based in Gillette, Wyoming, with members from all walks of life. The group began with 16 original members and now features over 30 singers. Most live in Gillette, but the group has members residing in Bighorn, Moorcroft, and Rapid City, SD.

GCS has performed locally, regionally and internationally over the years as a chamber choir and in collaboration with many exceptional vocal ensembles and symphony orchestras. Recent performances include Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra in Casper, and opening the 67th session of the Wyoming Senate in Cheyenne.

Our seven international concert tours include trips to Austria, England and Scotland, Italy, Ireland, Spain and most recently, the Czech Republic in 2019. 

Because we are the Gillette Chamber Singers, we love performing for audiences in Gillette at events like the Festival of Trees, Service of Lessons and Carols, Hospice Service of Memory and Hope, and the dedication of the Gillette Memorial Gardens.

GCS typically performs two formal concerts each year (Fall and Spring), each with a varied musical repertoire. The annual Christmas Dinners and the Service of Lessons and Carols are additional performances held during the holiday season. The group also performs for community groups and organizations upon request.
